This is the Hover Camera Passport, proudly produced by Zero Zero Robotics with the aim of pushing the boundaries of what’s considered possible.
Last week, the company signed a deal with Apple to have the Passport available exclusively on Apple.com, with live demonstrations in Apple stores across the US, Canada, China, Hong Kong and the UK.
There’s also great news for Apple fans, as the software updates for the Passport will improve compatibility with Apple’s video softwares like the Final Cut Pro and iMovie. The companion app will also see a new and improved user interface that makes shooting a breeze for first-timers.
In addition, there will be an automated editing feature to instantly create clips from your photos and videos that you can share effortlessly with your friends and family. After all, most of our selfies end up on Instagram and Facebook, right?
The impressive aerial product is designed to hover near the owner while filming and taking photos with great stability. It can lock onto a person’s face and follow him or her for up to 10 minutes, and it even responds to hand gestures.
At just 242 grams, the compact flying camera is made of carbon fiber material, and folds together for easy portability. It can travel up to 27km/h and features face and body tracking, allowing you to take 360 degree panoramic videos during your travel adventures.
However, there seems to be a downside to this genius camera, and that’s the noise it produces. The Hover Camera Passport, like most drones, buzzes much more loudly than say, the selfie stick. Imagine a thousand selfie drones buzzing in the air at once, with their owners trying to get their ideal shots.
