We’ve all seen the photos and we’ve all heard the news, but now, you finally have a chance to visit the place.

Changi Airport’s much awaited Terminal 4 will finally opening its doors to Singaporeans for a sneak peak at its Open House from Aug 7 to Aug 20.

To sign up for the tour, Singaporeans can go to T4OpenHouse.com from today (July 5) onwards to register. Each registration is free, and can only accept a maximum of six people. So, do try to manage the group size accordingly.

Currently, the registration website is experiencing heavy traffic (it’s been an hour and mine hasn’t loaded yet), so do register as soon as possible if you want to get those tickets.

What Can Visitors See:

After completing construction in December last year, Terminal 4 will potentially be Changi Airport’s most advanced airport to date, and Singaporeans will be able to see its new features first hand.

Many aspects of the travel process – from bag check ins, bag drops, immigration clearance and boarding – will be fully automated, which will hopefully speed things up.

For example, visitors on the tour can see up close and personal the new facial recognition technology that will be put into place at the new airport.

In addition, Singaporeans can also see new attractions like curated art sculptures, kinetic art displays, and a heritage zone.

To accompany you on the tour, there will be a mobile app with directions and in-app games which will allow you to win e-vouchers.

To entice you even more, Changi Airport is also doing daily lucky draws to give away air tickets to attractive destinations like Seoul, Hongkong, and Shanghai for those who go on the tour.

Smooth Sailing:

The first test flight for the new terminal happened on 23 June, with no major complaints or criticisms.

It shows that the idea of a mostly automated airport is effective, and it surely signals the amazing strides in technology the world has made.

With Singapore’s airport being voted the best in the world this year, this new terminal is sure to solidify its standing.
