1. Mount Bromo, Indonesia

Mount Bromo is quite possibly one of the most famous volcano in Indonesia, and it is not hard to see why – it provides gorgeous views from the top and the hike is very suitable almost for everyone! Though a Bromo tour is not necessary, all the tours come with Jeeps to transport you near to the mountains, the sunrise lookout point, which is a great and fuss-free way to see the volcanoes in the area.

2. Dragon’s Back, Hong Kong

Dragon’s back is known for its easy climb and gorgeous panoramic view of the southeast part of Hong Kong. The trail begins with a steep flight of steps but eventually mellows out into an easy hike on well paved ground. The even terrain of the spine of the mountain is reason for its name! Take a dip in the cool water at the foot of the hill after your hike for a refreshing treat.

3.  Koh Phi Phi View Point, Thailand

Hiking in Koh Phi Phi is less strenuous than all the other hikes mentioned in this post, but you get a beautiful view at the end, nonetheless. The easy hike ends with a breathtaking view overlooking Koh Phi Phi conjoined islands. Since you can reach this viewpoint in no time, it is great for sunrise and sunset hikes as well!

4. Banaue Rice Terraces, Philippines

The Rice Terraces were built over 500 years ago by the Ifugao highlanders of the Philippines’ Mountain Province and represent a culture and a way of life relatively untouched by the outside world. You can choose from a multitude of rice terrace trails to hike through, the easiest being the Bangaan Rice Terrace. If you are up for a challenge, try the Batad Rice Terrace tail. Whatever you choose, the views will still be beautiful. Go during the ‘mirror’ phase, in December, when the terraces’ water reflects the blue sky, for an even more spectacular scenery.

5. Doi Inthanon, Thailand

At 2400 metres above sea level, Doi Inthanon is Thailand’s highest peak. This mountain is located in Chiang Mai and is famous for its unique vegetation and wildlife. Despite its elevation, it is an easy climb with most of the trail being well-worn and with paved paths in some parts of the trail.  If you are looking for something a little bit easier, there are shorter trails, like the Kiu Mae Pan walk and the brief Ang Ka Luang that you can enjoy as well.
